Manage Data Permissions (Owner only)

The Owner of a list can grant roles (Consumer, Viewer, Editor, Manager) to users and groups.

Record-level permissions are inherited from the parent list.

  • Editors or higher roles can manage records.
  • Permissions determine whether a user can view, edit, import, export or delete records.

Available roles

Fields

  • Consumer — Read-only access to records. This role is implicit and applies to users who do not have any higher-level permissions.
  • Viewer — Can view records and details.
  • Editor — Can add/edit/delete records.
  • Manager — Can manage list-level and record-level permissions.

Notes & behavior

  • Changes to roles affect record actions immediately (e.g., Edit/Delete buttons, Import/Export options).
  • If you don’t see expected buttons, check your role or refresh the page.
